Tom DeAngelis
President
Tom DeAngelis joined Walleye in 2023. As President, Tom is responsible for leading efforts across the employee experience as well as overseeing several non-investment functions. He also helps to determine and facilitate goal setting and aligning priorities across the firm. Prior to joining Walleye, Tom was the Head of Business Development for Citadel's Global Equities Business, where he joined in 2019 and led a team responsible for talent sourcing. Before Citadel, he was the Director of Alternatives for 37 Capital, the hedge fund division he helped start at Putnam Investments, and Global Head of Business Development & Investor Relations at Hutchin Hill Capital. From 2008 to 2017, Tom was at Balyasny Asset Management, where he was Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Marketing & Investor Relations. He began his career at Lehman Brothers, serving as a Product Specialist in London and New York from 2003 to 2008. Tom currently serves as a member of the Senior Advisory Board, Alternatives, at Fordham University. He earned an M.B.A. from Fordham University and a B.S. in Business Administration from The College of New Jersey.
